Ian MP Condie CA - Senior Partner

Ian qualified as a CA in 1975, and after a short time at Thomson McLintock, joined the firm in 1976 as a partner. Following the retirement of four partners in 1984, Ian was instrumental in reshaping the firm to position it for the challenges ahead. He became senior partner in 1988 at the age of 35, and has overseen a period of rapid growth and increasing diversification in the range of services provided by the firm. Ian started the Financial Health Centre in 2001 (which recently became Condies Health), a division of Condies which provides the highest quality of specialist financial and accountancy advice to medical professionals.   Ian MP Condie CA - Senior Partner

Ian is married with three sons, two of whom are currently pursuing careers in accountancy. In his spare time (not that there’s much of that!) Ian is a bit of a speed merchant - at one end of the scale, he’s a dedicated racing cyclist, and competes in time trials and road races all over Scotland. When he’s not on his bike, he can often be found racing round Knockhill in his beloved Caterham sportscar.

As the Partner in charge of Condies Health, Ian specialises in the Medical sector.

Dougie Paton CA - Partner

Dougie Paton CA - Partner

Dougie graduated from Edinburgh University in 1994 and joined KPMG, qualifying as a CA in 1997. He then woked for four years at ICAS, writing, teaching and examining the Auditing syllabus of the CA qualification.

He joined Condies in 2002 and worked as Ian Condie’s assistant until 2004 before moving to Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equities Division where he worked in both London and New York City. Dougie then re-joined Condies in early 2009 as Partner Designate before being appointed Partner in August 2009.

Dougie’s client base is wide ranging, covering many business sectors with particular expertise in Medical and Engineering. He heads up our Condies Strategy, which includes our Path_Finder service, and spends much of his time helping clients work on their overall business development and strategic position.

Outside working hours, following his retirement from the shinty pitch, Dougie can generally be found pounding the pavements to train for a marathon (he has completed 8 so far). However, as his years advance he can increasingly be found indulging his newest interest - photography - or attending concerts of variable musical quality (from The Killers to Meatloaf via The Blue Nile).
