| Stamp duty calculator |
Purchases of land and property and shares and funds attract stamp duty. Investments are subject to a flat 0.5%, whereas land and property stamp duty is levied on a sliding scale depending on value and whether the land is residential or non-residential. Enter the nature of the transaction and the purchase price to calculate the stamp duty payable.
For example, for the purchase of a house for £750,000, check the residential land button, enter £750,000 as the purchase consideration and the stamp duty payable is calculated as £30,000. |
