Tax Specialist

Four years ago Barry came to Condies, bringing with him almost 20 years’ experience specialising in personal tax.

His career began in Edinburgh, where he gained his professional qualifications with the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) then the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA). A move to another firm provided valuable insights into dealing with private clients, high net-worth individuals and owner-managed businesses and trusts, before he joined our team.

Personal tax compliance is Barry’s day-to-day remit, and he works alongside our Business Services Group and Wealth Strategies teams on:

• income tax
• capital gains tax
• national insurance
• GP superannuation
• inheritance tax

Before a career in personal tax beckoned, Barry was Scottish and British Junior tenpin bowling champion at under-15 and under-19 levels.
